My fresh meat group started with 12 girls, when it was time for our skills test in July there were only 4 of us eligible! I had survived, and I passed!! My reward was being picked up by the Schoolyard Scrappers!! I am proud to say I bleed blue on and off the track, and would do anything for my derby family. AZDD is now a place I call home, if I could live at the warehouse and skate every day I would!! I am able to devote myself to the league because of my amazing family. My husband and two sons are my motivation, support system, biggest fans, and without them I don't know what I would do! They challenge me to be the best me I can be!
I still haven't decided what my favorite position to play is, I love them all. For now I am content with being a "utility player" with aspirations of becoming a triple threat!! I have been extremely fortunate to skate side by side with some of the best, and am grateful for all their words of wisdom!
When I'm not obsessing about derby I enjoy snowboarding, traveling, and seeking new adventures with my boys!
They say timing is everything... This is my time and derby is everything
